Many of us today place trust in larger corporations.  We use free services such as Google for searching, email, online document storage and so on.  Not to mention FaceBook for connecting to friends and playing games, Social bookmarking tools, the list is endless.  We should all understand there is no such thing as a free lunch.  All these services are ad supported in someway or another.

Apparently, a little over a year ago Google got into an argument with the group ConsumerWathdaog.org.  That argument has now culminated in the EVIL video below.  I am certainly not a fan boy of Google, but as I have blogged in the past I have come around to allow them to control a vast portion of my life.  I DO NOT believe Google has the nefarious intent suggested by this Inside Google video.  But boy, does it give me a case of the willies…

I love this routine by Dave Grady.  I have watched it several times and I still laugh every time I hear it.  He must have listened into my conference calls.

This is a must watch for anyone who has to sit on conference calls as a part of their job.  It is also recommended for friends and loved ones of those sitting on the calls.  It is the only way to get insight into our days.

I tried my best to avoid the Goggle-sphere, alas I have failed. It started slowly at first. It seemed so innocent. Google replaced Yahoo! as my default search engine in my browser a little over two years ago. That is not bad, right? Why should it be, searching is innocent. Besides, my dirty little secret, I never click on the sponsored links or those text ads down the right column. My philosophy is if you are not good enough to organically show up in the front of my search, then you probably are not truly focused on what I am looking for anyway. Read the rest of this entry »
